Job Description

A private family is seeking a full-time Home child care provider. Position: Home child care provider (NOC 44100) Number of Positions: 1 Terms of employment: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract (until August 2027) Educational Requirements: Completion of secondary school Job requirements: - 1 year of work experience in childcare is required - CPR certificate - Demonstrated ability to perform work - ECEA certificate or completion of a related training course is an asset Language Requirements: English Start date: ASAP Wage: $20.00/hour Hours: 40 hours per week Note: Overtime work may be required in the early morning, evening, or on weekends, depending on the employer's work schedule. Benefits: - 14 days paid vacation - 5 days of paid sick leave per year Job Duties: - Supervise and care for a 2-year-old child in employer's residence - Plan, prepare and serve meals for the child and perform other housekeeping duties - Oversee the child's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the employer - Tend to the emotional well-being of the child and support their social development - Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the employer - Bathe, dress, feed and change diapers for the child - Instruct the child in personal hygiene - Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home - Manage daily schedules for the child, including safe and timely transportation to and from early childhood programs, medical appointments, and recreational outings. - Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings Work Location: Employer’s home in Cambie/King Edward Area, Vancouver, BC How to apply: Send your resume by email to: alhosni.family.caregiver@outlook.com Note: - If you don't meet qualifications exactly but believe you have the required skills, please submit your résumé for consideration. - Please confirm in your resume or cover letter that you are legally authorized to work in Canada.
