This role requires advanced operational leadership in staffing, inventory control, service coordination, food safety compliance, and cost management. Duties • Plan, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations across dine-in, take-out, catering, and delivery channels. • Establish and implement operational procedures for service flow, kitchen coordination, order fulfillment, guest recovery, and peak-period execution. • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop supervisors, kitchen staff, and service employees in brand standards, food safety, and service delivery. • Prepare labour schedules based on forecasted sales, service volumes, and operational priorities, and monitor staff performance across shifts. • Control food, beverage, and supply inventory, review waste and usage patterns, and implement cost-control measures to protect margins. • Review sales, labour, service, and cost reports and modify procedures, staffing practices, or menu pricing to improve performance. • Resolve escalated guest complaints, service failures, and operational issues, and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health standards. • Coordinate and negotiate supply arrangements, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms with approved food and operational vendors. • Lead operational planning for promotions, large-volume orders, and catering-style service requirements, including staffing and execution readiness. • Oversee opening, closing, cash control, shift handover, and internal reporting to maintain accountability and continuity of operations. Education, skills and certificate requirements • Completion of a college diploma or university degree in hospitality management, restaurant management, food service management, business administration, or a related field is required. • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in restaurant operations is required, including supervisory, shift management, or assistant management experience in a high-volume food service environment. • Demonstrated experience in labour scheduling, inventory control, food cost monitoring, waste reduction, and daily operational reporting is required. • Proven experience in training, supervising, and performance-managing front-of-house and back-of-house staff is required. • Strong working knowledge of dine-in, take-out, catering, and third-party delivery coordination, including order flow and service issue resolution, is required. • Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous service operations, respond to peak-period demand, and make real-time decisions affecting staffing, workflow, and guest service outcomes is required. • Experience using POS systems, labour reporting tools, and inventory management systems. • Knowledge in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook) and MS Windows. • Certificates required: Safe Food Handling, Workplace Safety, First Aid and CPR.
