Stephenson’s Rental Services Inc, located in Mississauga, Ontario, is looking for full-time Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians with a minimum 3 years experience. This position is all about producing a strong and reliable fleet to help our customers get the job done right. With safety at the forefront, we inspect, test, and diagnose each piece of equipment with care. Responsibilities include: – Diagnose and repair construction and aerial equipment as it relates to various diesel, hydraulic and electrical equipment, including Skid Steers, Mini Excavators, Aerial Reach Equipment and towable equipment. – Ensure all equipment is rental-ready and meets set quality and safety standards. – Follow the appropriate checklists and procedures, referring to owner’s manuals and schematics when needed. – Operate and test equipment under actual operating conditions, if possible. – Assist in making decisions related to equipment retirement. – Possess excellent product knowledge including features, benefits, and safe operating techniques. – Follow all paperwork and computer procedures related to servicing of equipment. – Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system. Requirements: – Minimum 3 years of Heavy Equipment repair or related experience. – Heavy equipment trades certification is an asset – Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis – G Class Provincial Driver’s License and clean Drivers Abstract. – Must possess a mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. – Experience with Health and Safety training is an asset (i.e. WHMIS, etc.). – Action-oriented with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety. $36 per hour. 35 hours per week.
