Job Description

We are currently looking for someone to join our team as HR Specialist who will have responsibility for the following: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with Canadian employment laws and hotel brand standards 2. Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance positions 3. Conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new employees, ensuring alignment with service standards and workplace policies 4. Provide advice to management on employee relations matters, including performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution 5. Assist in workforce planning, scheduling strategies, and staff retention initiatives in a hospitality environment 6. Maintain employee records and HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality 7. Support payroll coordination by verifying employee hours, attendance, and leave records 8. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements and workplace regulations 9. Assist in developing training programs focused on customer service, hospitality standards, and compliance 10. Participate in internal audits and prepare HR reports for management review REQUIREMENTS 1. A university degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field 2. At least 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented environment 3. Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation, including Employment Standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations 4. Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations is required 5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with employees at all levels 6. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is an asset 8. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills 9. Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel environment and manage multiple priorities Terms 1. Salary is $36.00/Hour 2. Working hours per week is 30 3. Annual salary is $56,160 4.
