Job Description
Based in Toronto, Allwood Carpentry Manufacturing is a millwork shop specializing in the design, fabrication and installation of custom millwork for both commercial and residential projects within the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently seeking skilled CARPENTERS to join our team. Requirements: - At least four years of training/experience as a carpenter - Valid driver’s license - Steel-toed safety shoes - Applicable safety certifications such as WHMIS (training available) Duties: - Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools - Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials - Fit and install custom cabinetry, windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware - Set up and operate saws and other woodworking machines to cut, shape and form parts - Operate hand and power tools - Instruct apprentices Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day with overtime. Work Location Information: Shop located at 33 Atomic Avenue in Toronto, ON M8Z 5K8 Travel required to various job sites in and around the GTA and outskirts as assigned.
