Job Description

Main Duties • Plan and direct daily food preparation and cooking activities for the in-store food services. • Prepare and cook specialty Italian dishes for retail service and catering orders while maintaining high standards of quality and authenticity. • Develop and maintain menus aligned with retail demand, catering offerings, and seasonal ingredients. • Consult with clients regarding catering orders, including small events, banquets, and specialty functions. • Estimate food requirements and manage inventory to support retail and catering operations. • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and food service team members. • Recruit, train, and schedule kitchen staff as required. • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met. • Coordinate kitchen equipment purchases, maintenance, and repairs as needed. • Work closely with retail and wholesale teams to ensure product consistency and operational efficiency. • All other relevant tasks Job and Skill Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience particularly as a chef in commercial food preparation is required. • Completion of cook’s trade certification, diploma in culinary arts or equivalent credentials, training and experience are required. • Criminal record check will be required.
