Company Name: Onyx Painting Ltd. Location of Work: Lower Mainland/ Vancouver/ Various Locations throughout BC Title of Positions: Painter Helper (NOC 75110) Positions Available: 2 Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent Wages: $26.00 / hour, 30 to 40 hours per week Main Duties will include: 1. Provide support services to painters and supply or hold tools and materials. 2. Work site preparation, transporting paints, tools and materials to job site, and setting up of ladders and erect scaffolding, assemble and disassemble temporary equipment or structures. 3. Remove previously applied paint, and use epoxy compounds, putty or other suitable filling materials to fill breaks or cracks, nail holes and joints found on surfaces to be painted. 4. Smooth surfaces to be painted, using sanding and buffing tools and equipment. 5. Clean work areas and equipment. 6. Help the painters mix paints, using the right proportions and color. 7. Cover area and surfaces of items that will not be painted using masking tape before the work starts. Job Type / Category: Interior and Exterior, Commercial and Residential Education: Not Required Work Experience: Not Required Job training will be provided. The applicant should be able to lift weight (9kgs) and should be willing to work in all weather conditions.
