Employer: M & B Private Home Location Red Deer, AB Major Intersection: Greenway Street and Garrison Circle Job Title: Childcare Provider - Private Home (NOC 44100) No. of positions: One Job Type: Permanent Full-time Job Terms of Employment: 40 hours per week. Salary: $20/hour Anticipated Start Date: as soon as possible Education: Not Required Credentials: (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc., not required) Experience: 7 months to less than one year. Childcare providers may be required to complete a training program in childcare or a related field. Childcare or household management experience may be required for less than one year. Language: English Work Settings: Private Home Children's Ages: Infant and a Toddler IMPORTANT NOTE: This job opportunity is open to individuals eligible to work in Canada. Job duties and responsibilities: • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents; • Clean up after the children; • Bathe, dress, and feed the children; • Discipline the children according to the parent's methods; • Teach children personal hygiene and social skills; • Keep records of daily activities and health information for the children; • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; • Organize activities such as games and outings for the children; • Prepare and serve nutritious meals; • cleaning and sterilizing pump parts; • change the children's diaper; • Supervise and care for the children; • Take the children to playdates; • Support the emotional well-being of the children; • Care for and supervise the children in the Employer's home; • Prepare and serve nutritious meals; • Bathe, dress, and assist during mealtime; • Plan age-appropriate games and outings for the children; • Prepare the children for rest periods; • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; and • Attend to the emotional well-being of the children. Work Schedule • Work 8 hours per day, 5–6 days per week. • 1–2 days off weekly, with compliance to the province’s Employment Standards regarding overtime pay (occasional off-work hours emergency) and rest periods. Living Arrangements & Conditions • Reside in the employer’s home, with a private bedroom, den, and bathroom provided. • Meals, utilities, and safe accommodations included. • Respect for the caregiver’s privacy, rest, and personal time. Preference for this position will be given to Canadians, permanent residents, new immigrants, Aboriginal peoples, youth, older workers, and individuals with disabilities who possess the relevant experience.
