Job Description
Job Description: - Supervise and care for children in the employer’s residence, ensuring their safety and well-being - Prepare and serve nutritious after-school snacks and meals - Support children’s emotional well-being and social development. - Assist with homework and support learning activities - Plan and organize age-appropriate activities - Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment - Follow parents’ instructions regarding discipline and daily routines - Transport child to and from playdates and extracurricular activities - Perform light housekeeping related to childcare Education and Skills Requirements: - Secondary (high school) graduation certificate - 1-2 years of experience in childcare or a related caregiving role is required - Formal training in childcare or early childhood education is considered an asset - First Aid and CPR certification is an asset. - References required - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Reliable, patient, and responsible Wage: $20-$21/Hour Work Hours: Full Time, 30-40 hours per week We promote equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants and encourage applications from qualified candidates from underrepresented groups, including Indigenous Peoples, Persons with Disabilities, Newcomers to Canada, Youth, and asylum claimants holding valid work permits.
