Job Position: Finishing Carpenter Salary: $35.00 per hour for 40 hours/week Location: 14548 Chartwell Dr, Surrey, BC, V3S 5E4 Vacancy: 1 Employment Type: Full-time Permanent. Start Date: As soon as possible Job Requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary School Experience: 3 years to 5 years of experience required Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Bending, Crouching, Kneeling and Physically demanding Personal Suitability: Reliability, Accurate Specific Skills: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans to determine work requirements. • Measure, cut, and shape wood, wood substitutes, and other materials with precision. • Install trim, moulding, baseboards, and crown moulding to enhance interiors. • Fit and install doors, windows, stairs, cabinets, and hardware with attention to fine detail. • Sand, stain, and polish wood surfaces for a smooth, finished appearance. • Ensure all work meets building codes and quality standards. • Repair and refurbish existing structures such as doors, cabinetry, and staircases. • Collaborate with designers, clients, and other tradespeople to meet aesthetic and functional goals. • Operate hand tools and power tools such as saws, nail guns, sanders, and measuring equipment. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment during finishing activities.
