Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Painter to join our team for residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will prepare surfaces, apply paint and protective coatings, and ensure high-quality finishes while following project specifications, safety standards, and company procedures. Key Responsibilities -Prepare, clean, sand, and patch surfaces prior to painting or finishing. -Apply paint, varnish, stains, lacquers, enamels, and other protective or decorative coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. -Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the required colour and texture. -Fill cracks, holes, and joints using appropriate fillers and sealants. -Erect and dismantle scaffolding, swing stages, or ladders as required to access work areas safely. -Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and project plans to determine painting requirements. -Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project. -Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and perform touch-ups when necessary. -Follow occupational health and safety regulations and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). -Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. Qualifications -Completion of secondary school is preferred. -1 year of experience as a construction painter or in a related occupation is required. -Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, coatings, finishes, and application methods. -Ability to safely operate painting tools, spray equipment, ladders, and scaffolding. -Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
