Job Description
Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year **Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely** Work setting: Residential & Commercial Responsibilities/Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made Operate CADD and other computer software systems Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics Maintain clean and safe work environment Supervise other workers Estimate costs and materials Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products Experience and specialization Area of specialization: Doors and door frames Kitchen cabinets and vanities Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment Manual dexterity Attention to detail Standing for extended periods Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Personal suitability: Accurate Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Organized Team player Punctuality Financial benefits: Gasoline paid Mileage paid Who can apply for this job?
