Job Description
Job Title: Transport Truck Driver Status: Full Time, permanent Wage Rate: $38.50 /HR Vacancies: 2 Location Details: Company: Westland Transport Ltd.. Address: Aldergrove, BC Experience and Skills: • Completion of secondary school is required. • No experience needed (Will train) • AZ class license • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Job Duties: • Address customers' complaints or concerns • Mountain driving expertise • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy • Load and unload goods • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment • Perform emergency roadside repairs • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle • Perform preventive maintenance • Receive and relay information to central dispatch • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption • Transport and handle dangerous goods How To Apply: By email: infowestlandtpt@gmail.com Required languages: English Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Required skills: flexibility, multitasking, Pro-active and detail oriented
