Wage: $17.00 per hour Hours per week: 32- 40 Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Language: English Business address/Location: 3255 Quance St E Regina, SK S4V 3B7 Duties: Co-ordinate special events Determine the size of food portions and costs Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization Requisition food and kitchen supplies Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Inspect kitchens and food service areas Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Order supplies and equipment Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Recruit and hire staff Organize buffets and banquets Manage kitchen operations Experience and Specialization: Cuisine specialties: Canadian, Vegan, vegetarian and Gluten free Work Conditions: Attention to detail Fast-paced environment Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Standing for extended periods Work under pressure Personal suitability: Client focus Excellent oral communication Flexibility Initiative Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Time management Employment groups/ underrepresented group: Support for Youth : Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth Support for newcomers to Canada: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
