We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with standard bookkeeping practices. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple financial tasks in an organized and efficient manner. Job roles and responsibilities: • Calculate salaries, deductions, and benefits, and prepare cheques for payroll distribution to employees and other bills • Track the company's fixed assets, calculate depreciation, and ensure accurate records are kept. • Maintain inventory and costing records, including adjustments, price updates, and periodic Reporting • Ensure accurate inventory records using inventory management software or ERP systems. • Establish, maintain, and balance various accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. • Maintain general ledgers and other relevant information. • Maintain and generate financial statements, providing a clear view of the company's financial status. • Record daily transactions and other relevant financial information in the appropriate journals. • Prepare various financial reports for internal or external use, helping to analyze financial trends and performance. • Prepare a trial balance to ensure that all debits and credits are properly accounted for. • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy in the company's financial records. • Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services • Prepare and file HST, WSIB, and other CRA submissions. • Processing inter-company reconciliations, adjustments, journal entries, and balancing the General Ledger (month, quarter, year-end).
