Work Location: Various job sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area and outskirts (Ontario) Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Employer Viana Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. is a roofing and sheet metal contractor based in Toronto, Ontario, specializing in new roof construction, roof replacement, roof restoration, and roof repair services. Wage and Benefits • $38.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skills • 10% vacation pay • Medical and dental benefits available following completion of the probationary period Hours of Work • 32 to 44 hours per week, weather permitting • Overtime may be available • Weekend availability is an asset Language of Work • English Requirements - Minimum four (4) years of experience in commercial flat roofing - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to perform the duties described for this position - Ability to perform physically demanding work, including handling loads of up to 50 lbs. - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year - Willingness to work occasional weekends as required - Safety certifications such as WHMIS, Fall Protection, Rooftop Safety, and Propane in Construction are assets; training can be provided Job Duties - Install, repair, and replace conventional and inverted built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel - Install, repair, and replace modified bitumen roofing systems and single-ply membrane roofing systems, including EPDM, TPO, and PVC - Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and other masonry surfaces below and above ground level - Operate and use hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment required to perform roofing work safely and efficiently - Inspect work areas and completed roofing installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable building codes - Train roofer trainees - Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety procedures How to Apply Interested applicants may apply by email or through the company careers page: https://www.vianaroofing.com/careers/
