Job Title: Drywall Taper (NOC- 73102) Employer: G & R Drywall Contracting Ltd. Employer Business Address: 4803 20A Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB, T6L 2W4 Salary: $65,520 annually / 35 hours per week Vacancies: 1 Vacancy Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time Start date: As soon as possible Job requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting: Various locations Responsibilities Tasks: • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster • Clean and prepare surfaces • Cure freshly plastered surfaces • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities • Bending, crouching, kneeling • Physically demanding • Repetitive tasks Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Who can apply for this job?
