Job details • Location19 Pennyhill Gate Winnipeg, MB R2P 1W9 • Work location On site • Salary $30.50 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week • Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time • Starts as soon as possible • Vacancies: 3 vacancies Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting • Various locations Responsibilities Tasks • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions • Address customers' complaints or concerns • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques • Mountain driving expertise • Professionalism in customer service • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks • Load and unload goods • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment • Perform brake adjustments • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle • Perform preventive maintenance • Receive and relay information to central dispatch • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Who can apply for this job?
