Work site environment - * Livestock combination farming * Outdoors * Wet/damp * Dairy * Livestock Work setting * Rural area Responsibilities - Tasks * Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals * Develop specific plans to prioritize * Diagnose livestock health issues * Handling animals * Monitoring animal health * Monitor the calving process * Perform livestock feeding * Track and report on current feed inventory * Feed and tend animals * Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures * Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment * Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed * Maintain livestock performance records * Milk cows * Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens * Maintain work records and logs * Perform general farm duties * Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops Experience and specialization Area of specialization - * Dairy cattle Additional information - Work conditions and physical capabilities * Fast-paced environment * Physically demanding * Attention to detail
