Job Description
STL Facilities Maintenance now hiring CARPENTERS to join our busy team. Requirements: - Ideal candidate has at least three years of experience as a carpenter - Ability to work independently with limited supervision. - Steel-toed safety shoes/boots required - Valid driver’s license to get to various locations/commercial properties. - Good physical stamina and abilities. - Team player, willing to commit to busy, large workload. Main responsibilities: - Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements - Interior and exterior renovations, maintenance and repairs - Measure, cut and assemble wood materials or wood substitutes/other materials to renovate, upgrade apartment units and interior commercial units - Fit and install windows and doors by framing opening - Install hardware, cabinetry, mouldings, hardwood and laminate flooring - Build decks, patios, porches from wood and wood substitutes Work setting: Various locations Halton Region and GTA Renovation Commercial Residential Wages: Hourly rate offered is $36.00 per hour. This is a full-time (32 - 44 hours per week), year- round position. Hours of Work: Flexibility required, some weekend and evening work required as some projects can only be done at that time.
