Job Description

Rainforces Ltd. is seeking skilled Carpenters to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will construct, erect, install, maintain, and repair structures and components of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. Key Job Duties: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in commercial buildings • Inspect structures and ensure compliance with construction standards • Supervise apprentices and labourers when required Requirements: -Ability to communicate in English -Completion of secondary/high school or equivalent - 7 months or less than 1 year of work experience -Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy construction materials -Willingness to work at various heights and in different weather conditions Hours of Work: 40 h/week Wage: $36.00/h Full-Time/Permanent employment Work Setting: Construction/Residential/Commercial Number of Vacances: 3 If you meet the above requirements and are interested in joining our team as a Carpenter, please submit your resume to mehriddin@rainforces.ca
