Title: Ready-mix truck driver (NOC: 73300) Employer: Oil City Ready Mix Ltd. Employer Business Address: 507 15 Avenue, Nisku, AB, T9E7M6 Salary: $65,520 annually / 35 hours per week Vacancies: 5 positions Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 35hours / week Start date: As soon as possible Job requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: Will Train On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities Tasks: • Professionalism in customer service • Load and unload goods • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment • Perform brake adjustments • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle • Receive and relay information to central dispatch • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses • Air Brakes Endorsement • Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Type of trucking and equipment • Concrete mixing • Tractor-trailer Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities • Attention to detail • Handling heavy loads • Physically demanding • Repetitive tasks Benefits Other benefits • Class 1 MELT program paid by employer Who can apply to this job?
