Business Address: Suite #504 - 10 Milner Business Crt, Scarborough ON M1B 3C6 Title of the Position: Construction Manager Main duties: • Coordinate subcontractors activities • Select trade subcontractors • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates • Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers • Hire and supervise activities of subcontractors • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements • Operate CADD and other computer software systems • Read blueprint, schemas and drawings • Plan and manage budgets • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions • Develop and implement quality control programs • Prepare reports • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations • Prepare estimates and bids for home construction, renovation and restoration projects • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders • Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes • All other relevant tasks Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time (35 hrs per week) Language of Work: English Wage: $48.50/hour Office: Suite #504 - 10 Milner Business Crt, Scarborough, ON M1B 3C6 (Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee) Job and Skill Requirements: • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry; • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and prior education or experience in the field of project management; • Computer Knowledge: prior experience in AUTOCAD 2D, MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam Revu; • Work condition: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, noisy and dusty; Application instructions: Please submit cover letter and resume listing all relevant experience to the email address nextgenconstructionrecruiting@gmail.com
