Operating Name: TW Commodities Business address: 2011 South Railway St E, Swift Current, SK S9H 3W4 Operating location: 1881 & 2011 South Railway St E, Swift Current, SK S9H 3W4 Title of position: Head Miller – Master Splitter (NOC 92012) Number of Positions: ONE (1) Job Duties: • Provide leadership and direction to the splitting plant processing team, ensuring all employees and contractors comply with safety regulations and corporate policies. • Foster a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across all processing operations. • Oversee the development, implementation, and enhancement of processing procedures to improve operational efficiency and consistency. • Lead quality control initiatives by ensuring that all processed products meet contractual specifications and internal quality standards. • Supervise and support the maintenance and operation of plant equipment, ensuring timely preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in accordance with technical documentation and manufacturer guidelines. • Guide the team in the effective use of hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, welding equipment, and other metalworking tools, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety standards. • Oversee the execution of operational tasks by ensuring clear communication of job assignments and verifying proper handling of tools and materials within the plant and at job sites. • Ensure timely and accurate completion of daily work and equipment maintenance logs, maintaining clear records for operational tracking and compliance. • Implement and enforce daily housekeeping protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient plant environment, preventing debris buildup and equipment obstructions. • Act as the plant’s emergency response lead, addressing urgent operational or mechanical issues during and outside regular working hours, and stepping into other functional areas when necessary. • Oversee mechanical diagnostics by supporting the identification of equipment issues using observational techniques, auditory cues, and precision testing instruments. • Direct and support the disassembly, repair, and reassembly of production equipment to resolve mechanical faults and minimize downtime. • Monitor, track, and analyze equipment and system performance, including new installations, to ensure continuous plant efficiency and reliability. • Manage and refine the preventive maintenance program for all plant and facility equipment, ensuring long-term operational sustainability and reduced equipment failure.
