• Location: 1152 Denman St Vancouver, BC V6G 2M9 • Salary: 20.00 hourly / 32 to 40 hours per Week • Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time • Day, Early Morning, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning, Night, Overtime, Shift, to be determined, Weekend • Start date: Starts as soon as possible • Vacancies: 1 Vacancy Overview Languages: English Education: • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate • or equivalent experience Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Work setting: Restaurant Responsibilities Tasks • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food • Order supplies and equipment • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment • Clean kitchen and work areas • Manage kitchen operations • Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications • Ensure that process steps are carried out according to specifications Supervision • Cook (general) Experience and specialization Cuisine specialties • Greek • Kosher • Turkish • Mediterranean cuisine Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities • Attention to detail • Fast-paced environment • Handling heavy loads • Overtime required • Physically demanding • Repetitive tasks • Standing for extended periods • Work under pressure Personal suitability • Flexibility • Initiative • Organized • Reliability • Team player Who can apply for this job?
