Experience: 3 years to 5 years Education: High school graduation Job Duties: • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for Indian curries, tandoori items, pizzas, appetizers, and breads, ensuring alignment with the restaurant's established menu and quality standards. • Create, refine, and standardize recipes for a variety of Indian and fusion dishes, pizzas, and tandoor-based items, Chinese, ensuring consistency in taste, portion, and presentation. • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, including cooks, prep workers, and helpers, delegating tasks and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during peak hours. • Demonstrate expert-level preparation of traditional Indian breads (naan, roti, kulcha, etc.) and tandoori dishes using clay oven techniques and authentic spice blends. • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, order ingredients and kitchen supplies, and ensure proper storage and rotation of perishables to prevent wastage. • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen as per provincial health regulations. • Providing hands-on instruction in proper cooking techniques, plating standards, and kitchen safety. • Develop new menu items and daily specials, based on seasonal availability, customer preferences, and market trends, to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales. • Control and manage food costs and portion sizes, contributing to cost-effective operations while maintaining high culinary standards.
