Job Position: Concrete finisher Salary: $37.25 per hour for 40 hours/week Location: 10920 Granville Avenue Richmond, BC V6Y 1R4 Vacancy: 2 Employment Type: Full-time Permanent. Start Date: As soon as possible Job Requirements Languages: English Education: Completion of secondary school is required Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding and Handling Heavy Loads Personal Suitability: Client Focus and Flexibility Work Location: Various Locations. Specific Skills: • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans to determine layout and required materials. • Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools (e.g., trowels, screeds, floats). • Pour and spread concrete using rakes, shovels, and straightedges to achieve desired thickness and surface contour. • Install and remove concrete forms, ensuring proper alignment and sealing to prevent leakage. • Apply hardening and sealing compounds to protect concrete surfaces and enhance durability. • Monitor weather conditions and site environment to ensure appropriate concrete curing and finishing times. • Repair, resurface, or patch damaged or worn concrete structures using appropriate materials and techniques. • Operate power vibrators and compactors to ensure proper concrete consolidation and prevent air pockets. • Ensure surface smoothness, texture, and finish quality through manual and mechanical polishing or broom finishing. • Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure safety protocols and protective gear are followed on all job sites.
