Job Description
Title: Drywall finisher (NOC- 73102) Employer: Primary Drywall LTD. Employer Business Address: 1624 48 ST NW, suite #402, Edmonton, AB, T6L 5P1 Salary: $65,520 annually / 35 hours per week Vacancies: 2 positions Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time Start date: As soon as possible Job requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work Setting: Various locations. Responsibilities Tasks • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster • Clean and prepare surfaces • Cure freshly plastered surfaces • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities • Bending, crouching, kneeling • Hand-eye co-ordination • Repetitive tasks Weight handling • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Who can apply for this job?
